Why We Built This
Florida keeps most jail and inmate information public, yet people still hit a wall, and the wall is almost always the same one. They do not know whether the person they are looking for is in the county jail, in a state prison, or in federal hands. We built this site to answer that question plainly. The Union County Sheriff's Office runs the local jail for people awaiting court and those serving short sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for sentenced state prisoners. Federal and immigration detainees turn up in still other systems. We gather the rosters, locators, contacts, visitation rules, and records-request steps for each of those lanes into one reference.
What You Will Find Here
The pages are organized around the questions people actually ask after an arrest.
- Inmate lookup help across jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
- A page for each detention facility tied to Union County, with its address, phone, and visiting rules.
- Step-by-step help for confirming county custody and for using the statewide corrections locator.
- How to request a booking record or photo, and what kind of response to expect from a records unit.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no tie to any Florida sheriff's office, jail, corrections department, court, or other government agency. That independence comes with hard limits, and we would rather be clear about them up front.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody.
- We cannot post bond, set up a visit, or send money for you.
- We cannot give legal advice of any kind.
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address stays current.
Only the sheriff's office or the corrections department can confirm a person's current custody, charges, or release. We can point you to the right roster, but the official word comes from them.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes powered by outside providers, and those providers set their own prices and rules. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee, which is what keeps it free to use. We do not control what those partner tools charge or what their results show, and using them is always your choice.
